Upper

In this 9-version of Clifton, Hoka have used Jacquard mesh in the upper. Jacquard mesh provides a luxurious and ventilating feeling for your feet. There has been some slight changes to the previous model, so the shoe is now even more comfortable. 

Midsole

The most significant change is that the midsole has been raised by 3mm while the foam is slightly softer and more spongy than before. This has been done without making the shoe heavier which is a great plus. The midsole is composed of supportive and not least cushioning EVA-foam in the entire length of the shoe which provides plenty of comfort. In addition Hokas recognized Meta-Rocker technology helps to provide the shoe with a rounded sole shape which assists your gait and provides even further propulsion. In addition Hokas Active Foot Frame helps to embrace your foot which provides excellent support during your workouts. This is due to the fact that your heel and foot is actually in the midsole insted af on top of it thanks to the design technique of the Active Foot Frame.

Outsole

The outsole is designed with the ”High-abrasion rubber” which is a type of rubber compound which provides a really good grip and contributes with great durability. Most of the rubber is located at the middle of the foot which provides flexibility in the right places.
