Upper

The upper of the ASICS GEL-Kayano 28 is made from a lightweight and breathable mesh material to keep your feet dry and comfortable throughout your work-out.
At the same time, the upper is engineered with a 3D SPACE construction to improve the compression and grip around your foot to give you a safer running experience.
The heel cap of the Kayano 28 has also been improved to keep your feet more stable and deliver a more comfortable rolling action of the foot.

Midsole

The 28th edition of the Kayano now has a new midsole material, the FF BLAST, to give you a softer feeling and even more shock-absorption, compared to the predecessors. This is where the GEL technology around the heel area and forefoot helps to deliver such fantastic shock-absorption.
In addition, the DYNAMIC DUOMAX technology helps to reduce any pronation the runner may have.

Outsole

The outsole of the shoe is made with ASICS AHAR technology which is a durable rubber material to improve the life of the shoe. At the same time, the material also helps to improve the traction and give you the best grip on different kinds of surfaces.
